Meticulously designed to retain the inherent nutrients

The transformation of pure whole goat milk into a safe and outstanding formula should be a delicate and minimal process. Our mission is to protect the innate purity of our goat milk in our formulas and preserve its inherent nutritional qualities.

Gentle and Low-Impact Processing

Nannycare goat milk processing vs whey adjusted formula processing

We embrace nature's provisions in their entirety, ensuring they remain whole, unaltered, and secure. We incorporate only essential ingredients to fulfill the nutritional needs of infants and young children.

Through the use of our whole goat milk and the omission of non-essential whey powders in goat milk formula, we streamline the production process by eliminating multiple processing steps and extensive heat cycles commonly found in whey-based formulas.

Our gentle and minimal processing is carried out solely within our dedicated facility for goat milk formula. You can have complete confidence that no cow's milk formula is manufactured on our premises.

Consequently, we produce baby milk using full-cream, whole goat milk that undergoes a gentle process, retaining its natural essence.

No unnecessary inclusion of whey powder.

Comparison of β-lactoglobulin in goat milk vs cows milk

Our gentle and minimal processing is made possible by the deliberate omission of whey powder, which has been deemed superfluous in goat milk formula. The practice of adding whey powder, commonly referred to as "whey adjustment," is beneficial in cow's milk formula as it helps soften the firmer curds. However, goat milk naturally forms softer, smaller curds that are more prone to breaking apart than those in cow's milk¹. Consequently, there is no substantiated evidence to support the notion that incorporating whey into goat milk formula offers any advantages.

The inclusion of whey powders in goat milk formula also results in up to three times higher levels of beta-lactoglobulin, a protein not found in human milk and known to be an allergenic component.².

Clinical trials have showcased the effectiveness of our whey-unadjusted goat milk formula³, leading to a revision in UK regulations in 2014.

Pure milk, containing its natural milk fat.

Natural milk fat in whole goat milk vs skimmed milk

In our formulas, we employ whole goat milk, rich in milk fat globules enclosed by the Milk Fat Globule Membrane (MFGM), a component naturally present in breast milk fat. Consequently, we opt for the inherent milk fat found in our whole goat milk, rather than using skimmed milk. This not only facilitates our gentle and minimal processing but also reduces the necessity for vegetable oils to meet the specified total fat content stipulated by regulations.

You can be confident that Nannycare does not include skimmed milk or incorporate additional whey powder in our formulations. Our primary ingredient is full-cream, whole goat milk.

Our deep reverence for nature drives us to harness its gifts with utmost care, offering you infant and toddler milk that brings you closer to the natural world.
